The stadium Allianz Parque, popularly known as Arena Palestra Italia Arena or Arena Palmeiras, is a multipurpose arena built to receive shows, concerts, corporate events, and especially the Palmeiras football matches, its owner.
The first official game of Allianz Parque was held on November 19, 2014 between Palmeiras and Sport, by the Brazilian Soccer Championship, with the score of 0 to 2 for the Sport and presence of 35,939 fans. The first shows performed at the venue were those of Paul McCartney, who performed on November 25 and 26, 2014.
Allianz Park was once the stage of the Brazilian National Team. The alviverde arena received the national team on June 7, 2015, in a friendly preparation for the 2015 Copa America against Mexico. It was the first game played by the green and yellow team in Brazil since the 2014 World Cup. The game ended with a 2-0 victory of the national team with goals from Philippe Coutinho and Diego Tardelli.
